As the colours of the setting sun blended in harmony and as the evening sky gradually faded, it was time for SVM to hold its valedictory for the std. X students. A day to be etched forever in the memory of the outgoing children.
It was a proud day for the parents as they assembled eagerly at the beautiful lit SVM Grounds, Banneraghatta Road.
The solemn function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest of the day, Mrs.Hampara Ali, Chief General Manager, SBI
This was followed by the school prayer and school song, invocation.
The spell binding concert that followed warmed every ones' heart leaving every one mesmerized.
Aishwarya Giridhar welcomed the audience followed by the introduction of the chief Guest by the Princpal.
Nostalgic memories came alive when the captains Krishna Chaitanya and Swathi walked down the memory lane and shared memories of their school life.
Apoorva Pradeep and Abhishek spoke in Sanskrit on values.
Poornima H P and Pawan K spoke in kannada about the various sports events.
Nikhil K and Vandana spoke in Hindi on the various cultural activities that took place during this academic year.
The valedictorian's speeches were then followed by the lamp lighting ceremony. The Principal initiated the ceremony by lighting the lamps of the class teachers who in turn lighted the lamps of students. This auspicious candle light ceremony symbolized the transmission of knowledge from the tutor to the taught, adding poignancy dignity and elegance to the occasion.
Letter of Appreciation were then given to all the captains and also to the students who excelled in academics, extra-curricular activities, computer programming skills, sports etc.
Special prizes were then announced by the Principal, Krishna Chaitanya, walked away with all the 3 prizes.
In her commencement address, Mrs. Ali appreciated the values inculcated by the students which was highlighted in their speeches. She stressed the ness to upload the values learnt at school and to be responsible and contributing citizen of this world.
All the 181shining stars of SVM then collectively say a song - "Hum rahe na rahe "
Pallavi A S then proposed the vote of thanks. The teachers were appreciated for having shaped the characters of students, instilling self confidence in them to face the world in addition to imparting Knowledge.
It was a proud and privileged movement in the annals of SVM to have 180 students graduating and preparing to embark as the next phase of them journey in life.
The girls looking gorgeous in their
brick-red sarees and the boys looking their handsome best in traditional
kurta pyjamas were filled with mixed emotions as they bid
