Investiture Ceremony 2008-09
25th June 2008
A solemn
and dignified investiture ceremony saw
the newly elected school cabinet being inducted.
The swearing-in ceremony was presided over by our Respected Principal who
was the Chief Guest for the occasion. She was welcomed with a guard of honour
ad general salute by the school band set. The function began with the school
prayer and school song.
"A
leader is formed by his voters" - The importance of voters was brought
forward by Chaitra A ( X-A ) in her welcome speech.
Ms.
Malini Rajendra, the Head Mistress of Lower Primary Unit announced the names
of the elected captions and Vice Captains Volunteers.
The
Principal then invested the elected students with their badges of honour
and handed over the school flag and the House Flags to the respective captains.
All
the captains then came forward and took on oath led by Shwetha R, the school
captain.
They pledged to abide by the rules and regulations of the school and work
hard to keep the school flag flying.
Shwetha R(X-C), the school captain spoke about
the responsibilies and duties of the elected captains.
Prakruthi M(X-A), the school vice captain,
spoke about the duties alloted to various captains and vice captains.
Ananth Shreyas(X-C),
the cultural activities captain spoke about the various cultural activities
planned for the academic year.
Prakruthi A(X-B), the cultural activities vice
captain spoke about the various inter-house and inter school competitions.
Ravindra M(X-B), the
sports captain spoke about the sports events planned for the academic year
2008-09.
Nikhita(X-A), the sports vice captain spoke
about the analysis of house points which includes cleanliness maintainance
of walls, windows, & home work, notice board, personal hygiene, etc.
The captains of the various
houses gave a brief introduction of their houses and about the significance
of their respective houses.

The principal then addressed
the gathering and appreciated the way the programme was conducted. She congratulated
the elected members with her inspiring words "Responsibility comes
from discipline and order".
Junaid of Std. VII,
the school junior captain proposed the vote of thanks.
The entire ceremony was very compered by Prateek Bharadwaj

The programme ended with the National Anthem.
