We are Proud to announce that Kaumadi of VII 'D' has won I prize in Annual Bhajan Competition organized by Chinmay Mission on 11th October’09. She was also given a special momento by Swami Brahmananda for her extraordinary performance.

A great accomplishment in music category for Akash S of std VII D for achieving the Ist place in all the three Auditions of Young World ‘idea Jalsa’ (National Level Competition) in Chennai conducted by famous vocalist of our Country ‘Pandit Jasraj’ . This competition was held in first week of October-09.
The age limit for this ‘idea Jalsa’ competition was from 5 yrs to 45 yrs based on classical music (Both Hindustani and Carnatic Style).
The final of this contest will be held in Mumbai on 11th and 12th of December.
*This programme will be telecasted on National Doordarshan channel on Sundays between 10.30 am to 11 am. The date of the telecaste will be informed shortly.

State Award in Music
Akash S of VII ‘D’ received ‘Children’s Day Award’ on 14th November 2009 for “Exceptionally  Talented Award in Music” for the year 2009-10 from the Karnataka State Government. He was honoured this award by the Governor of Karnataka Hans Raj Bhardwaj.

Ideal Jalsa A complete Music [ Music for theSoul]
 All India Level compe. National talent Hunt Indian Music Academy.
Akash of 7th Std ‘D’ section(State) won the ideal jalsa competitions – All India Level in Mumbai. There were altogether 8,650 participants through art India. He was selected in semifinal level among nine finalists and at last 6 winners in the finals. The competitions were held in 6 cities through out India. The age limit for this ‘idea Jalsa’ competition was from 5 yrs to 45 yrs based on classical music both Hindustani and Carnatic Style Which included gajals, percussion, all instruments. The judges were Pandit Jasraj –(the founder of Ideal Jalsa)and Mr. Hariharan. Akash is the youngest who has been selected in flute as a rising star in Indian Music Academy in Ideal Jalsa – Complete music National talent Hunt.
This Programme will be relayed in National Doordarshan in the month of January. Dates will be known shortly on Sunday between 10.30 to 12.00 pm.
This is a great achievement  for Akash in field of music. He had been given scholarship award of Rs. 60,000 from Jan2010 to Dec 2010 and Ideal Jalsa performances throughout India starting first from Mumbai.
